BIRTHDAY SHOUT OUT!!!

So today is my cute husbands birthday. I been thinking the last few days about how much he means to me. So I thought that I would let every one and him know how much he means to me on his special day. Jeffrey is the love of my life, he has been such a wonderful husband. We have been together for almost four years now, we have been through a lot especially the last few months with our little one coming. he has been so caring and sweet about everything, rubbing my back and holding my hair back when I was so sick and could barely leave the toilet. Coming to the dr.'s with me, seeing him be so excited for our little girl to come.. cause its been kinda hard for me to be excited with being so sick. there are so many things I love about him, his obsession with cycling (even if some times it gets a little out of hand) his goofy personality, and how dedicated he is to his callings in the church as a husband and soon a father. He works so hard to give me everything that I want or need. I love how much fun we have with just about everything we do. On our first date we went rock climbing and as I was hanging off the rock I knew that he would never let go of that rope. And he even though he wouldn't let me come down until I made it all the way to the top and my fingures and arms were burning and I finally let just let go of the rock and hung there until I had feeling back in my fingures and arms, and then I was able to make it to the top. He has always been so supportive and encourgaging. just like our first date. I would do just about anything for him, and I am so grateful to have him in my life and for the fact that he chose me. I love him so much and I hope he has a great birthday. I love you Babe!!!

More, More, More!

So, I have been getting many requests to update the blog since the last one was done a little while ago. And I figured that a little Billy Idol in the title could do everyone good this Christmas season. The Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons are a time of year I like to reflect upon the things that I am grateful for, and one of the things that I am most grateful for in my life is my wife Bobbie. I am also grateful for the fact that she is pregnant with our first child!

Bobbie and I are not fans of doing things the easy/conventional way, we also have a tough time keeping exciting news a secret. We would have been able to hold out for a while but Bobbie was so sick that people at work were finding out, and we didn't want our families to be the last people to know. So we set out to decide how we were going to let people know our exciting news. One night as we sat racking our brains of a clever way to let the fam know, lightning struck our collective brain (thank you Mr. Smee)! Because of the proximity of the news to Halloween we thought it would be fun to dress up. Bobbie transformed into an oven and I became a lovable chef. We called upon the creative juices of Nancy and while my Dad and I went to Priesthood session for General Conference, Bobbie and my Mom created a masterpiece!

Genius! Bobbie was an oven in which we put a bun so that there was a "Bun in the oven," and I was a Chef so that I could be involved. Again, Genius! Or so I thought.

This post will now take a different direction which may call for a post of its own but I choose to discuss it here. Now I thought "Bun in the oven" was pretty telling but I was shocked at the lack of comprehension that we encountered on our journey. Really the only person who caught on immediately was Brandon Smith, either I underestimated Brandon or over-estimated everyone else. Linds you caught on quicker than others but everyone was a lot slower than I had anticipated. I wasn't shocked when Bobbie's little brother Troy gave the "I-don't-understand-why-others-are-laughing-so-I-will-chuckle" laugh and when Krystelle (Bobbie's aunt) asked when Bobbie was due he said "that's what that means?" But I was really disappointed in everyone else! Especially Zo who prides himself on being so clever probably took the longest to get what was going on, though it was funny enough to watch him figure it out that it was worth it. Sub par performance people!

Da Perm

So, due to certain (justified) complaints about lack of posting we figured we should post our next blog. A couple of months ago my hair was getting a little long and I had a desire to shave it, but did not want to give it up. So I called Bobbie while she was at work and asked her if she wanted to perm my mop, and obviously she was more than willing to be involved. So when she got home we threw in an old classic The Great Outdoors, and she spent the next few hours putting my hair in curlers. After the curlers were sufficiently secure the solution was applied. The are a couple things that I learned about perm solution today... 1) It smells terribly (that smell is accentuated when the solution finds its way into your nostrils) 2) It really burns your eyes when left in your eyes long enough, or really if it touches anywhere near your face and 3) if left in contact with skin long enough it will remove the flesh from your face (no joke). Due to the above mentioned lessons that I learned I decided that the perm had to be kept for longer than just the couple of days that were initially planned. Due to the pain that was inflicted I needed to keep it longer. Thank you for reading.

GRADUATION DAY!

Jeff's Graduation Day was a very exciting day for all of us. As you can see above. :) Though he still has a few more classes and finishes in August. Both Jeff and Andy graduated so Jeff's parents took us out to lunch to the Olive Garden..(so good) and then we went to the ceremony. I was kinda dreading it cause i though it would be a few hours and boring talks but it actually wasn't too bad. It took about an hour and a half and then we got to take lots and lots of pictures. YEAH! love pictures. And then we got lucky and my parents took us to dinner. Yeah free food day.

Jeff's favorite professor that inspired him to go into IS (something to do with computers, I don't really get it) Jeff and I. I am so proud of him, he is such a hard worker. And is so smart I don't understand what he is saying most of the time when he is talking about school stuff.
The two happy Graduates! Andy also graduated and is getting ready for medical school. he is another smarty pants.

We are truly grateful for our parents and all of their support. Especially Greg and Nancy for the financial help, we wouldn't be in the postion we are in right now without their love and support.

So Jeff and Andy decided to do to the next big race in Laramie, WY
they left about 7:30 Friday night and got there at about 1:30 in the morning
they stayed at a super 8 motel in a room with six smelly boys. When they woke up
they found that it was a blizzard out side and with a wind chill of 8 degrees. Needless to
say they didn't race. So they drove the five and a half hours back home. So he was a little unhappy about that but at least they made it home safely.

And the Warriors Return

So Jeff and Andy had there first big cycling race. And Bri and I got to be the super great wife's that support them even in the cold. So we got them all ready and sent them on their way. And we were out in the middle of nowhere and it was freezing, so we decide that we would wait in the car where it was warmer and they had told us that it would take them about two hour to finish their race which was about 40 miles. So we decided that we couldn't fall asleep even though we had to get up extra early on our day off cause if we did we probably wouldn't wake up in time to see them finish. So we sat and talked for a while and we might have fallen asleep for about ten minutes and we decided that we would go out to the finish line just in case they got done early. We walked over and couldn't find the finish line, so we asked some one and they showed us where it was and as we were walking over, Andy came up from behind us...we totally missed Andy coming across the finish line... SORRY ANDY.. But we were able to see Jeff across. We were so proud of them for finishing. And Bri and I were glad we finally got to go home and take a rally long nap... GOOD JOB GUY!

So Jeff and I went to warm AZ. for spring break and it was AWESOME... it was so warm, i didn't want to come home. We went down with our friends Ty and Raney, we stayed with Ty's family. We went to a spring training game, hiking and just spent a whole lot of time together. Ty's family was so nice. We played scum one night and I was scum just about the whole time, it was great. We also got to spend Easter morning with them. Thanks Stevenson Family..
